1900s Antique Colt Revolvers Gun Advertisement, Harper's Weekly Magazine Fire Arms Advertising, Western Wall Decor Print
Wonderful very early authentic original gun advertisement, the inside cover of a 1907 Harper's Weekly, featuring Colt 's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Co. Super scarce!
Wow! This is a superb vintage antique fire arms collectible advertising print, and it is in very good original condition. The Western style illustration is highly detailed, a nice example of early high quality lithographic printing. A two color ad was quite rare during this time period, and, expensive! The bright red shirt really stands out, with a bit of a sunset sky in the background. The Colt horse logo and trade mark appears in a circle. The advertising text reads:

The back side shows the partial image from a 1907 Harper's Weekly cover, depicting a few of the title letters with flying geese in the background, and a partial country fishing pond scene. When researching this, we found similar Harper's Weekly covers with this exact typeface and cover layout dated 1907, so we are confident of the publishing year. The popular Harper's Weekly was published in New York by Harper and Brothers, 1857-1916.
This fabulous antique Colt Revolvers firearms advertising print measures 5.2 inches by 7.5 inches, with an image area of 4.75 inches by 7 inches. The image is complete except for one small clipped area in the upper right corner. The upper white margin has a small tear. The print itself is in excellent condition, very clean and crisp without smudges or stains.
This is a very rare early original 1900s antique Colt Revolvers magazine advertising print, a wonderful find for anyone who appreciates antique fire arms. A great conversation piece as an antique vintage gun firearms Western wall decor print!
