1950s Vintage German Bavarian Oktoberfest Hiking Hat Pin, Village of Bodenmais, Antique German Alpine Trachten Brooch Pin with Enamel Shield
Very nice vintage German alpine hiking hat pin, featuring an early full color enamel shield and the Bavarian village of Bodenmais. Authentic 1950s-1960s vintage trachten alpine hat brooch.
This is a classic Bavarian Oktoberfest hiking hat pin, with a finely molded spray of pine boughs set among the hiking pick axe. The pine branches are painted a glossy forest green. The colorful enamel shield shows a quaint alpine village set in a steep green valley, complete with the tall church steeple! It includes the German town name "Bodenmais". Bodenmais is located in Bavaria, Germany and lies at one end of the Zeller Valley in the Bavarian Forest. These color shields were featured in the earlier mid century alpine souvenir pins, and helps to date this piece.
This fine vintage German alpine hat pin is cast of silver metal. It is solid and a bit heavy for its size. It features a secure pin back and measures 1.25 inches wide. It is in excellent vintage condition with a nice, aged patina.
Adorn your alpine or Oktoberfest hat with this fabulous vintage German Bavarian Oktoberfest hat pin!
