1960s Vintage Japanese Porcelain Vase Cherry Blossoms and Bamboo Hand Painted, Vintage Asian Chinoiserie Decor
Gorgeous one of a kind vintage hand painted porcelain vase, with a vibrant design of symbolic cherry flower blossoms and heavenly bamboo.
This is a lovely and striking thin vintage Japanese floral vase. The beautiful blooming cherry tree is fluidly illustrated with its delicate flower blossoms on linear branches. The flowers are two colors of pink with yellow centers and radiating pistils. It is framed on both sides with light green feathery bamboo sprays. The lovely organic design wraps around the vase, and a smaller illustration is echoed on the back side. Gilt accents finish this lovely vase.
Cherry blossoms are richly symbolic in Japanese culture. The transience of the blossoms, their extreme beauty and quick death, has often been associated with mortality. Bamboo is a very strong plant. Because of its sturdy root structure, it is a symbol of prosperity in Japan.
This fantastic vintage 1960s hand painted porcelain vase is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, breaks, or repairs. The design is crisp and free of wear or scratches. It stands 7.75 tall with a 2.25 inch base. The mouth opening measures just under 2 inches wide and is gilt lined. It is unmarked.
This is a special vintage 1960s Japanese long life prosperity vase. It will add grace to any setting or collection, a thoughtful and pretty gift!
