Hard to find vintage ceramic angel shakers, with fabulous spaghetti trim decoration and gilt accents! Made by Commodore, Japan, circa 1950s.

This is a wonderful mid century pair of white, bright eyed angel salt and pepper shakers. Their hand painted faces are so sweet, with big blue eyes and long eye lashes, finished with a red heart shaped mouth and rosy cheeks. One holds a muff and the other holds bells in a holly berry wreath. Fine spaghetti trim frames the face, cuffs, and skirt. There are numerous shiny 22k gold accents all over.

They stand 4 inches tall and retain their original rubber stoppers. One has two shaker holes and the other has three. One is marked "Japan" in black ink on the bottom. They are in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a bit of dust.
