1950s Vintage 45 RPM Vinyl Records Set Hawaiian Music "At the Luau", Vintage RCA Victor 45s Three Records in Sleeve, Vintage Hawaii Luau Music
Wonderful early vintage 45 rpm vinyl records, RCA Victor three record set in sleeve, "At the Luau", by Prince Kawohi and the Luau Boys! Copyright 1955. High fidelity recording.
This is classic 1950s Hawaiiana, featuring a beautiful wahine at the luau, with a bright red flower behind her ear. In Hawaii, if one wears a flower behind their right ear, it means you are single, available, and approachable! Coconuts, bananas, and pineapple accent the foreground. Three RCA vinyl 45s each have their own protective slot, combined as a small booklet sleeve. The inside cover features the set list, followed by additional panels with text describing the Hawaiian luau music experience. It is marked on the inside back panel, "Copyright 1955, Radio Corporation of America". The front of the sleeve reads:
A "New Orthophonic" High Fidelity Recording
RCA Victor
45EP EPC-1043
At the Luau
Music of the Authentic Polynesian Festival
Prince Kawohi and the Luau Boys
The back of the sleeve book discusses RCA Victor's "New Orthophonic" technology and is marked, "Printed in the U.S.A." This quality high fidelity recording was new in its day!
The condition of this assembled vintage piece is good for its age, over 70 years old! The paper sleeves show age appropriate discoloration and foxing, and the sleeves are open at four of the ends. There is tape present on the spine and on one sleeve end. The 45 vinyl records show some scratches and wear. There are no stains, marks, creases, or tears. Overall a very cool vintage 45 rpm vinyl record mini collection!
